Locomotive was voted 2018 Agency of the Year by the international jury of the Awwwards digital awards, in Amsterdam. Our co-founder and vice-president, operations, Jean-François Chainé; co-creative director Sébastien (Dust) Leblanc; and technical director Mathieu Ducharme were at the ceremony on February 15 to accept the prize on behalf of all of our team members. We’re humbled to be the first Canadian agency in Awwwards's ten-year history to win Agency of the Year.
The day before, at the Awwwards’s Digital Thinkers Conference, Chainé and Leblanc gave a talk: Work hard & play harder; a case for meaningful environments, discussed the synergy between Locomotive's precise creation process and our approach to employee engagement, which put people before everything else.
